Our next meeting is Saturday, November 9, 2019, at the Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. Please come for knitting and cameraderie, even if you're not interested in participating in the program.
Our program this month will be two workshops:
1. Making minature ornaments in the round (with flat knitting instructions as well). You will need size 2-3 short circular sock needles for fingering weight yarn, or size 4-5 needles for worsted yarn. Same sizes/yarns for double point needles.
2. Golden Band Pattern, learning Provisional Cast On with crochet hook, and Kitchener stitch for joining. Bring size 10-11 straight needles for worsted weight yarn and size 11-13 straight needles for bulky weight yarn. You will need a crochet hook close to the size of knitting needle you're going to use. You will also need contrasting yarn for Provisional Cast On.
Needle/Hook Sizes:
10 = J (both 6 mm)
10.5 = K (both 6.5 mm)
11 = L (both 8 mm)
13 = M/N (both 9 mm)
This is also a Marketplace month, so feel free to bring anything you would like to sell or trade (yarn, plants, homemade jams, fabric, eggs, or whatever!).
Reminder: We will be collecting oiur charity knitting donations at the December meeting.
