September Meeting

How did September get here so fast?  We are having our annual Meet & Greet meeting this Saturday (September 8) at the Grace Episcopal Church in Baldwinsville. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and we meet until 12:30 p.m.  The topic of discussion will be Sweaters and Vests. Bring any you have made with comments on ease or difficulty of pattern.

Also, congratulations to the winners of the knitting guild awards at the Great New York State Fair!  TSOCNY sponsors three awards:  $25.00 for a hand knitted accessory; $25.00 for a hand knitted layette or christening gown; and $25.00 in the Senior Citizens Department for creative design in hand knitted adult garment. 

The winners this year were Susan Yost of Springwater, New York, for a shawl;

Maggie Deitrich of Auburn, New York, for a christening gown;

and in the Senior Citizen category, Susan Swift of Liverpool, New York, for a hand knit lace scarf.
